graphing milli amps was created by aaronbuick139
I have a Fluke 297 that can graph milli amps (in line/not using a current probe) but the sample rate is too slow 1 second per sample.
I wanted to graph amps in the milli amp range 1-10 milli amps
Does anyone know of a tool that has the abilty to graph milli amps--it would need to be in line as I don't think any current probe could detect 5 milli amps

Snap-On Vantage mt2400 is my tool of choice. Can graph very low mA through the internal amp meter.
The Vantage pro also has an internal amp meter, and is a graphing meter, but I don't remember if the two functions overlap. I can check tomorrow

I scope voltage drop across the mA shunt in one of my DMMs. You could use an resistor instead if you don't have a DMM with a mA shunt. Have to be careful if your scope has a common ground but other than that it works great.
Another option is using a current multiplier loop with an amp clamp. This option won't nuke your scope or DMM :silly:
A microamp current probe will go that low but they ain't cheap. Attached pdf has some screenshots taken with one.

So you set the meter up in series like any amperage measurement, and scope voltage across the meter leads?
Speaking of low amp clamps, I just saw this on AES Wave,
www.aeswave.com/High-Accuracy-Low-Curren...mp-Meter-p10169.html
It's a stand alone so no output for a scope, but if the 1mA resolution is to be believed, $200 seems like a decent price.

Yeah you just scope voltage drop across the meter. Meter doesn't even have to be turned on. IIRC Andy has a tutorial somewhere on here about using a DMM as a shunt.
