Somehow my brake lights wouldn't work but my running lights would. Also my shift lock selenoid was having issues so I would have to push the shift lock button to put it in drive. There are two sensors on the brake pedal, I jumped one to the other and brakes worked. My ex had the car and kicked this loose then tried to fix it and it fried the wiring harness. It was replaced and all codes cleared except the pedal position sensor. I thought ecu was bad and took it to dealer with new CPU. After 13 wks they say the entire harness behind the dash is bad. Is that possible being it's a completely separate harness? Why is no other codes showing if that's the case? I think they don't want to work on it so gave me an answer that wouldn't be worth the trouble.
