Good day to all!!!! This Volvo was brought to me by another shop. The shop claimed to preform an overhaul on the engine, i.e. piston rings, main bearings seals etc. During the test drive after the repair the car could randomly throw a p0336 DTC and go into a "limited performance mode". After pulling over and restarting the car, it would come out of said mode and you could proceed. Upon receiving the car I noticed I could replicate the problem in the shop and observed a random multiple cylinder misfire at times. Scan data showed nothing out of the ordinary trims, air mass, o2 all looked good. Found ECM would cut coil control to various cylinder's randomly and would return control to that cylinder after a restart. I then suspected a potential CAM/Crank correlation issue and scoped both cam's and crank signal at capture from this car. My question is would anyone have a known good waveform? Any help would be greatly apricated!!! Also wanted to note the sending shop replaced the ECM in hopes of fixing this issue.
