CAM Sensor was created by rajneesh sharma
I got a vehicle it is Holden Vectra 2002, in some countries it is Opel Vectra. When I unplug the CAM sensor, voltage is coming, 0,12,0 and when I plug it back, voltage is coming 0,0,0. When I place the test light on each terminal ( by back-probing the connector) and other end of test light on battery positive, connector plugged in, test light is glowing on each terminal. Now, when I start the car and unplug the sensor and then on placing the test light at middle terminal and other side of the test light on battery positive, engine stops. One more thing, no reference voltage. Code is coming P0340.
Many Thanks

Hey rajneesh.sharma! Unfortunately, the Vectra didn't get sold in the States, which makes doing research or finding wiring diagrams very difficult. Closest thing we had was a Saturn, but without all the engine options.

But, based on your voltage readings, I agree that you're missing a power feed to the sensor. Either from a fused source, or from the engine controller. I'm also gonna speculate that the middle wire is in fact the signal. Don't know that for sure? :silly: But it makes sense for now.

You may need to bite the bullet and buy some service information. Something like a Haynes manual would work, especially since they're available online and printed:
