Hello, I'm hoping I could get some help with my car. 2002 Pontiac sunfire. Engine: 2200 SfI 2.2l ohv.

I'm having an issue with the vehicle speed sensor. My track light is on and check engine light is showing P0502 code. The car's speedometer doesn't work at all and it shifts hard into every gear reving high too. I have tried replacing the sensor with an acdelco part and no change in symptoms.

I don't know what else to check as to why a new sensor didn't fix this. I only have a basic scan tool and a volt meter. This problem started right after I had brake lines replaced. Don't know if that's related at all. Any help/direction would be great. Thanks.

It is a two wire sensor. One wire is yellow other is purple.
