I made and interesting visit this morning to a volunteer group restoring and preserving and displaying  old military vehicles.
The WW2 Western Desert Recce Group is based in my home town of Blantyre Scotland  and has a small but interesting collection in their workshop.
Really very much a hands on down to earth  hammer and spanner type of group, if they can't source a part they adapt something  or make it.
Very much a friendly man cave for shady tree mechanics  and ex-service guys :-)  Like every volunteer group resources  --- money, tools, materials  and helping hands are always welcome.   wdrg.org
