Today a car came in for me to check for a noise under the hood. The service writer handed me a repair order from another shop and, well. Just take a look at what it say.

I about fell over laughing.

What in tha...?

So I just HAD to Google this, and I ended up at Wikipedia:

Wikipedia wrote: Hemofiltration is most commonly used in an intensive care unit setting, where it is either given as 8- to 12-hour treatments, so called SLEF (slow extended hemofiltration), or as CHF (continuous hemofiltration), also sometimes called continuous veno-venous hemofiltration (CVVH) or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT)

I guess this is a real thing? How do you put a car on dialysis...

Sounds expensive, I wonder if that's protocol after changing... the entire exhaust on a Hyundai Sonata?

I saw that!

So, my jacked up mind ran with this whole 'dialysis on a car' concept. How about this? Closed loop oil flushing. ;) It wouldn't be that hard on a vehicle equipped with an oil cooler!

Ro-longo, what did you actually find on this Sonata? Besides a whole lot of wallet flushing. ;)

The High Pressure fuel pump (GDI) was making the noise.

Wow, they do! Kinda cool, actually... It uses oil filter adapters to connect to the engine. I'll probably never see one, but still cool.

Just a thought, what if the person didn't speak good English and didn't know how to say flush. Used the translator app and it spit out dyalisis with a definition that looked like it would sound smarter.
If not though, yeah, they should be brought up on charges.
Why does that sound odd after typing it? "Brought up"on charges? Maybe it's time for bed

Someday I'll figure this out
