Mozilla have released Firebird 79 as a forced upgrade for the Android app, The new upgrade is to say the least controversial, with many longtime Firebird users are leaving blistering 1 star reviews on Google Play store. I have used Mozilla family browsers and email programs since Mosaic in the 1990's and although over the years have found some of the changes to Firefox and Thunderbird annoying this the first time I have hit uninstall on a Mozilla product. A bit like switching football teams or political parties it was almost what YouTuber The Chieftain would call "significant emotional event".
