Derivation of the equation for resistance

Hey everyone. Was watching Paul's most recent video on short to grounds and they were talking about the equation on calculating total resistance of a parallel ckt. Thought I'd flex some nerd muscles and show how that equation is derived. A lot of people are mesmerized at the equation and how it was derived so I wanted to show with some MAF skillz ( get it? Lol) and understanding kirchoffs and ohms law you can combine the two laws and come up with this equation.... enjoy

Cool Nick ;) It's kinda hard to read, for those who know the math you can figure it out no problem. But maybe for the members that are not familiar with this you could post a typed version or something. Just asking, not trying to be an *ss :)

Man, I felt bad watching that video this morning  I used to have most of those equations memorized, but now I can't remember ANY of them.
