They both have their place and sometimes only one will work, but, if either will work in your situation, which one will you grab?

What's your preference, ratchet or wrench? It can be a ratcheting wrench, if efficiency is going to play a factor.

I've become a wrench guy.

Electric ratchet.

So now that I have a quality wrench set, I find myself going for a box wrench pretty often.
Used to be 1/4 ratchet was my go too, then I bought a great double box end offset ratchet wrench set made by Platinum (a must have) www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwiYzKy...VEAQYASABEgKkDfD_BwE

Depends on the job for a lot of jobs such as removing replacing valve covers or oil pans I use speed brace wrench

For reassembling I often use a short handle doublesided flip over ratchet 3/8" one side & 1/4" the other
!0 or 15 years back I bought a couple from my local B&Q for £1 each

For more heavy duty use I have a set of 3 of these swivel head ratchets 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 --- the gimble head is centered on the business end so they are much less like to tip off the nut/bolt head than other swivel head ratchet handles.

I have always favored ratchets myself. It is just more .utilitarian to me.

Ok, ok. I forgot to exclude power and air tools. Just for funs sake, sticking to old time manual style. Ratchet or wrench?

Sorry, I knew electric ratchet was a cheat answer. :silly: Gotta go ratchet. The first Snappy product I bought was a swivel head , and it's still my go-to ratchet today.
