How can i check compression test on a 1979 ford using a verus scan?

Hey guys!! can some one guide me on how to check compression on a 1979 ford f250 is it possible ?? using an amp pro and a verus scan tool? or do I need some other tools?

The cheapest basic tools way is to use an old style compression gauge.

The next cheapest way is not strictly a compression test but a cylinder leak down test. In addition the leak down tester you would need a source of compressed air.

For a cranking compression test you would need an oscilloscope, it is usually done with an oscilloscope and a DC amp clamp but it can be done without an amp clamp as a cranking voltage test.

I like to use an amp probe on the positive battery cable. Some people use the negative battery cable and I've used that too.
There's pretty good walkthrough on how to do it on a VERUS in particular on YouTube here (if the link works)
