We put a fuel pump in a 94 F150 back in January of 17. He calls Friday saying it won't start and of course he thinks it's the fuel pump. Ask about warranty and tow bill. Service writer tells him it's the fuel pump we will take car of it and pay the tow bill. So he asked to speak to a technician to try to verify it's the fuel pump. I talk to him. He says it runs on carb cleaner and he pulled the fuel line off and there is no fuel. Then he says he can hear the pump. I tell him to make sure there is gas in it, even if the gauge says there is, put some gas in it. It got towed in yesterday, we checked it this morning. It was out of gas. We then asked him if he put gas in it. He says "about a half gallon"
I hope you stuck him with he tow bill and charged him at least an hours labor. You may have to explain to him why he has to pay but he'll get it eventually.... you can't fix stupid sometimes......
