LS engine was created by Caritech
Hey guys I've been having some crazy thoughts. I live in Trinidad and Tobago and we have access mostly to JDM powerplants, sr20, rotaries, 4g63t, jz's etc. Recently I've been thinking of using an LS1 or 3 motor and manual transmission. Can anyone tell me what these engines go for on the "Mechanic's market"?

At the junkyard we sell used 5.3l LS engines out of Silverado's anywhere from $300-$600 depending on miles and condition.
I've seen nice low miles complete swaps (motor, harness, ECU and all the giblets) for around $1200 from other yards in the New England area.
I think it's the go to swap as of late for drift and drag race applications.
