2011+ F Series issues to take into account was created by Ncautoshop
We've been seeing some very common issues with the new F-series trucks that's worth mentioning.

1: 6.7l battery cables shorting to ground at passenger side of engine/cross member. It WILL start a fire.

2: HS Can high issues - waveform is neither shorted to 12v, 5v or ground and the issue may be extremely intermittent. The variance is very slight but enough to pull communication down. Many trucks have spent months at the dealership with no resolution. The one fix that has been consistent is removing the bundle connector from the e-brake bracket and zip tying it up. There's never any resistance issues, pin damage or wiring faults from my experience - I'm almost wondering if it's not related to the harsh "smack" when the brake is released.

Hopefully this will help someone.

I've seen HS-CAN issues on these trucks as well. Fixed a couple by cycling those bulk connector by the parking brake pedal.

Never seen the shorted cable. O_O Gotta keep an eye out for that!

First instance was a dealer truck thst had floated around the local shops. I noted that I didn't have sensor ground for the oil temp & a/c pressure or the rest of the grounds in the circuit. My initial testing found that there wasn't ground being supplied from the PCM, and i suspected a faulty pcm. I decided to patch in a ground to see if it would bring the affected circuits back to life, when I touched the ground it blew my jumper fuse. I had one of my tech's pull the loom down, and he was having trouble with a bolt for the plastic retainer. I reached up to put some pressure on the plastic to aid in removal and got a spark shower. We've seen 4 like this thus far!
