gm ls engine ignition secondary wave form was created by Nowing75

I was looking at an 08 we have just playing with the new scope. My secondary wave is nothing like what most of the ones i have looked at are. it does not define the dwell its just a curve. thanks Jason

Do you have a pic to share with? What kind of probe did you use?

Sounds like you've got an inductive RPM/trigger pickup. They're designed to output a signal when the plug fires not a secondary ignition waveform. Yellow trace below is what I get from my MAC one.

I guess it’s not called inductive it’s the one for secondary waveforms. I took one of our Buick and it looked like what I’m used to seeing. Thanks for your reply.
