I am using Pico scope trying to get a cam crank signal on a 2001 K 2500 with a 6 l. Pico scope is telling me to use a jumper harness to get the waveform I am trying to do it by back piercing the signal wires. I am getting no waveform is that because I am not using a breakout kit? Please help been messing around for 2 days now with no waveform.

You should be able to obtain a good waveform by back-probing. You do not need a breakout.

Do you have a ground lead connected to battery negative?

Can you post your .psdata file?

I just noticed that the notes on your Picoscope waveform indicate that you are back probing pins 61 & 21. These are Low Reference (ground).
You want to back-probe the SIGNAL wires.

You can back probe the Low Reference with your GROUND leads, or use ANY good ground.

The signal that you acquired on the Low Reference looks like you have a BAD Low Reference (sensor ground).
