Hantek Amp Clamps With PicoScope

Hi all, need help!

Has anyone here figured out how to make the custom probe settings for using a Hantek 65A, 600A current clamp with the Picoscope Software?

I finally purchased a Pico and would like to use my Hantek Clamps.

I've looked at the data tables for Pico amp clamps, but I really can't discern how they come up with their data tables!

Thanks

Paul

I haven't taken the time to set up a custom probe setting, so I can't help you there. But, I can tell you that the Hantek Clamps, just like all others, output a DC voltage. The tool should be marked to tell you what the output is, per unit of measure. i.e. 10mv = 1 amp, or 100mv = 1 amp

Just set your scope to an appropriate DC voltage setting. A little math is required.

Thanks for you reply Chad!

I do understand how they work, I'm just curious if anyone has the table data to set one up in the Pico software. I'm just trying the math right now to try and accomplish this!

If I figure it out, I'll post my findings, otherwise hopefully someone here has accomplished this!

Thanks

The other method rather than make a table up is to draw a chart --- straight line graph, but personally I just read the volts. As a sanity measure the amps through a known component ir 5 watt or 21 watt bulb.
