Just wondering if anyone has ever used a Mac tools ET2011 oscilloscope?

I know it is an older model but a friend through work says he can sell me one for $100.00 and he said it is a 2 channel

I just do not know enough about oscilloscopes (automotive scopes) to know if this unit might be a wise choice for a beginner to start learning on?

Maybe some suggestions on what I should check and look for?

Thanks!

Oh I forget to mention my friend also said it comes with all the leads that it came with originally.

$100? Sounds like it'd be worth it for the leads alone. :silly: I say go for it!

I've never seen one of these before, so I did some digging. Supposedly it's the same as a Ferret 91 Automotive Lab Scope:

It's functionality seems similar to an original Snap-On MODIS? For this price, it's tough to go wrong.

Update:
well I checked the ET2011 out and it would not turn on but I happened to see a case marked Snap On Sun LS2000 and opened it up and the manuals and leads were all there and it worked fine so I gave him $40.00 for it.

old unit I know but just trying to learn and I will save for a better one

I see AESwave has AES Wave! Information Management System
The Sun LS2000 had the mini DB 8 to rs232 connector so will demo out the software as I have an older laptop with an rs232 serial connector
