Snap On Modis showing inverted waveforms was created by MGNut
I recently picked up an old Modis off of ebay, primarily for the 4 channel scope. In checking it out, I connected the + lead to the coil negative and - lead to ground. I'm getting a typical primary ignition waveform, but it's inverted (negative voltage). To confirm, I connected the leads to a 9v battery and get negative 9 volts.
I've looked for an 'invert' setting in the various menus, but haven't found anything. Any ideas? Looks like it's a 2002 machine.

...nothing like answering your own question. Found a .pdf download w/ the scope user's manual. Select the "Channel'" option at the bottom of the scope window and there's an "Inverted" on/off option.

If you dig around in the Modis itself there is a LOT of guided help on how it does things.

Power user tests I think is one menu with subjects like "10 minute electrical class" and other similar brush up training.
I used to take mine home and just read everything in it.
