How to set up Coil on Plug Signal Probe with Pico Scope Test&Measurement 7 was created by Marti
I'm trying to set up a custom probe for a Hantek HT25cop. I have the Picoscope 2204A scope and use the T&M 7 software (non-automotive, cheaper...). What are the parameters to use for this probe? I think I need to specify KV scale, but there may be an equation to set up for this custom probe? Also need advise on how to configure the software ( timescale and range of volts). Thanks, Marty

I have no idea how to play with a hantek, but the secondary probe I use fory Verus is home made.
I think if you just play around with the voltage and time scales eventually you'll find where that thing make a usable pattern. The shape of the secondary patter matters more than having accurate kV numbers.
