Diesel In-cylinder pressure sensor DIY using VW sensor? was created by Anchormotor
While changing a glow plug on a 2011 VW Jetta TDI, I had an idea which I wondered if it would work... These CJAA engines have individual in-cylinder pressure sensors which are built into the glow plugs. I have a picoscope, and wondered if it would be possible to use an old glow plug and sensor pigtail to create a cylinder pressure sensor you could use with the pico.
Any ideas if it would work? Anybody know what type of sensor they are?
