Sounds like a good deal, I've been saved by an X431 more than once when the Verus just didn't have what I needed to get the job done.

No bites. Still has 9 months left of a subscription for free updates. Just upgraded to the topdon phoenix plus. Which uses same software just hadls topology on it and bigger screen. All works

Truth right here. I just got saved last week changing a Transaxle Compensation Code on a '14 Rav4. Autel had the function, but wouldn't complete the change after multiple attempts. Launch got it done on the first try.
It doesn't always work out that way, but it happens enough that I keep my Launch charged up and ready to go.
