Low amp clamp was created by Abdullah_shaqsi
Good day
I have got new Hantek current clamp
I need to play it with verus
Can I use it with scendry current check? What should I use in my verus?
If I need to check fuel pump what scale I should use?
And for compression test what should I chose which volt and which time
My hantek it have 1mv/ 100ma and 1mv/10ma
Thanks

For both voltage scale and time scales start with a slightly higher range than what you actually need and then zoom in.
A fuel pump will use less than 20 amps so use 1mv/10ma scale on the clamp.
1mv/10ma to put it a more sensible way 10 amps will read 1volt so starting with a 2 volt screen will work.
For a cranking compression use 1mv/100ma scale on the clamp.
1mv/100ma --- 100amps will read 1v
Starter curent depend on a lot of variables for most cars start out with a 4 volts screen. For a diesel or V8 I would start on 10 volts and you can then adjust the voltage scale downwards.
For the Time axis start with say 5 or 10 seconds and then you can shorten.
If your scope has settings for x10 and x100 probes it is possible to use these to give screen readings of 1v = 1 amp.
