Using a battery saver? was created by dennis524
Hi all,
I was wondering when using a battery saver is it safe to disconnect modules and sensors
without the risk of damage? Or are they used strictly to keep things alive so you don't loose any settings
when changing batteries?
Thanks for you help.
Dennis

It isn't any different from pulling a module with the car battery connected. the ignition should be switched off and key removed,
The big warning is be careful with any temporary connection and make sure the disconnected car battery B+ dosen't short to ground
I use a rubber glove or old radiator hose to insulate the battery lead.
