A large issue i am having is finding a good resource for waveform diagrams.
Any pointers are sure appreciated.

Have you tried the Pico waveform library or iATN?

My employer used to have a subscription with iATN before they had this scope and had a bad experience with them so He's not sure he wants to subscribe with them again.

Another issue I am experiencing it when I hook up the wand, I get a +-10volt wave that doesn't go away, anyone else experience this?

You're talking about a secondary ignition paddle? Like the TA204 ?
Could you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?
