Coolant leak, vehicle had never required a coolant top up in two years suddenly lost about 2 litres/quarts after a 100 mile journey.
No obvious signs of leakage cold and hot pressure test revealed nothing, vacuum test was okay. Head gasket was suspected as a last test I tried fluorescent UV dye B) :) :evil:
Here is what the torch showed, a leaking cylinder head bleed hose at the rad -- game, set and match.
