Is the Modis Ultra still relevant in 2020. SnapOn guy has one on his truck and will update it to the lastest if possible. Is it worth $1700 or what else would be better to invest in. Scope is not totally necessary because we have a Pico at work. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I owned a Modis Ultra for about six years before upgrading to a Triton D8 last month. They're still very relevant, IMO. Made a ton of money with mine. :lol:
No one loves the cost of the software updates, but Snap-On has put a lot of working into adding features and functions over the years. Plus, with the AutoAuth system, you can talk to SGM-equipped Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram products.
I don't love that price? But that's the Snap-On truck for ya. :silly: I'd consider it if were fully updated, and they included the 10' LED cable. Also consider HUGE range of scan tools available for under $2000. Autel MK908, Bosch ADS 525, or just about any Launch.
Thanks for the reply. It comes with 20.4 update, new OBD2 led cable, new battery and new scope leads. Has 16.4 on it now and the reason I might wait for something newer is the WiFi is terrible, also it locks up if you are too fast at switching between items.Seems kind of dated for me. Just would like an add on to the Techstream I already have. Mostly do Lexus and sometimes Audi/BMW, so of everything really. So I have a good meter and we have a 2 channel Pico so I would like just a good scanner. Friend of mine just got the Solis Legend and likes that.
