Any members ever use a sensor simulator/emulator

Wondering if anyone has used a sensor emulator such as the D'land SSX. I purchased one a few weeks back and it seems like a handy tool to add to the arsenal. It will replicate TPS, MAP, MAF, O2, CAM, Crank, Hall Effect, positive/negative coefficient thermistors, and more. You would disconnect sensor from harness then inject the signal in the harness and watch the scope to see if the pcm responds positively. Has potentiometers for variable resistance, and voltage. Anyway just curious if anyone has had any experience with one.

Seen 'em, never tried one. Be sure to let us know how it works for you when you need it.

I've never used one, but I love the look of that SSX. Do you have a link to a retailer?

The closest thing I've used to a simulator is a variable resistor , for those times that I needed to test module response to varying signals. Also handy for manually bypassing GM Passkey systems. ;)

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

Here is the link to the D'land SSX sensor. I purchased mine on ebay from Argentina. It is a well made unit!

Yeah, it really doesn't like that Ebay link, huh? You're not doing anything wrong, I just tried posting the same link.

This was the only way I could get the link to stay:
Code:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Automotive-Sensor-Simulator-Tester-CKP-TPS-MAP-MAF-ECT-IAT-CMP-VSS-O2S-Emulator-/322420345386?hash=item4b11c00a2a:g:jZ8AAOSwEeFU8xxp&item=322420345386&vxp=mt

I'll ask onyx about this, maybe the forum blocks Ebay links?

or just search: SSX sensor simulator
and it should come up.

Sorry about all these attempts. Just trying to help.
