Chevy obd 1 power requirements was created by xxl
When you scan with the snap on obd 1 Chevy connector you need the 12v adapter. Dose it have to plug into the car or can you plug it in to a wall outlet adapter for cigarette plugs ? What is the positive and negative of a cigarette plug

I would say 12v + will have to be relative to a common ground, if the vehicle has no cigar lighter socket rig a cable direct to the vehicles battery.
