FYI. Was Informed by snap on tech rep today that included in 19.4 update will be access through OBD2 port for newer Chrysler gateway. No need for removing radio to access data connector but will also need to get a 1 year subscription through Chrysler for $50. He claimed he will get me the literature in the next day or two. I will update when I receive more info.

That 50 bucks might be worth it considering you won’t have to remove the radio in every newer Chrysler we work on

Apparently whatever tool you have needs to be wifi capable as well. So my Solus Ultra wouldn't be up to the task, but a newer or more capable tool would

I believe all the edge platforms and above are capable.

Does anyone know what is new in this update besides the pre and post scans that is kinda useless for diagnosing. The last few updates have been adas stuff not programming or relearning of components

I haven't looked at what's new in 19.4. I have always updated each fall using Snappy's two for one special. My Modis Ultra's on 18.4 now. I'm honestly thinking of skipping a year. I've had the Modis Ultra for 4 years and if I update this fall, I'll owe $4,000 on the tool after 4 years of payments, three of those years I've made double payments. That sucks. I think maybe I'll just focus on paying the tool off instead. I do love the Modis Ultra. It's my favorite of all the diag tools I've ever used. I use the scope as much as the scanner.

Saw 19.4 pop up today while I had my Ultra connected to ShopStream Connect. Has anyone tried doing a full update over SSC? I've had hit and miss experiences with installing service updates, so I'm a bit nervous...

I haven't updated since 17.2 - does anyone know when they started keeping track of year/make with the saved files? Because I've been asking for that since forever.

I update my Ethos Tech with SSC. I have not had any issues.
