PORTABLE OSCILLOSCOPE was created by Zakarya Al-Yafei
HELLO GUYS
Actually I'm planning to buy a portable oscilloscope
I did see video for Paul Danner working on Uscope from aeswave
But that one are very expansie 400$for kit
And it support 1 channel
That's mean you can't see data for camshaft and crankshaft at the same time
So I decide to buy different one
dso203 .
It's 4 channel oscilloscope and same size of Uscope
And buy another equipment neede like clamp meter .
What's your advice for me ??

The DSO203 is a good scope but 2 oscilloscope channels not 4 --- the other 2 channels are for logic testing.
If you buy a basic scope you will need to buy a few different adapters, initially I would recomment buying
2x MCX to BNC adapters
2x BNC to Alligator Leads
BNC to 4 mm leads
x10 BNC Attenuator
x20 BNC Attenuator
Some T pins or proper back probes.
You can add current clamp(s) and ignition probes later.

First the adapters, the DSO203 and the uScope are both use a non-standard minature connector called the MCX. Osciloscopes used in labs use a much larger bayonnet connector called the BNC, many automotive scopes tend to 4mm insulated banna lab connectors similar to you would find on a DVOM.
The connectors on any automotive probes you but are going to buy have one style or another.

With a DSO203 you would normally use the BNC adapter then if required daisy chain the 4mm plug adaptor on to the end.
BNC connectors were used on older CCTV cameras and old style computer networks.

The x10 and x20 attenuators are to allow the scope to connect to inductive voltages like ignition coil primaries and fuel injectors without blowing the circuits in the scope. The attenuator devides the voltage by either 10 or 20.

The scope will have a scale setting for using with an x10 attenuator but probably not an x20 as this generally only found on scopes designed for automotive work but you just use the x10 scale and divide by 2. For an injector the x10 is fine but for a coil primary an x20 is a safer choice.
