i just bought a used verus eems323 first gen and have a few questions

when i click multimeter/scope tab and pick dual graphing voltage or voltage should it make a noise ? I'm also getting readings of 0.03 v with nothing connected on two channels

The noise is entirely normal. :) Typical across the whole Snappy lineup.

That 'ghost voltage' of .03V is also pretty typical.

can this verus still be updated?


As far as I know? :silly: I haven't heard that they're dropping support yet.

First gen verus is only updatable to i think 17.4 not 100% on that but you can call snap on customer support for verification

I run a first gen Verus just for the scope and she's getting a little tempermental in her old age.
I find that when shutting down the tool, putting it in hibernation mode saves a tremendous amount of boot up time. I also always leave it plugged in until I need to do a test, then it gets plugged right back in.

Were you able to get it updated to 17.4? cause I tried calling Snap-on and they basically said no more support!!

I wasnt able to get it updated but it is possible threw the usb flash drives that snap on use to sell. I Have part#s for different updates everything up to the pro can be used .

You can download the updates but seems worthless without a newer license file. Kind of in the same bolt with an older eems325 anyone solved this I know this is an old old thread
