Hey folks. Have a question here regarding using the labscope/meter function on a snap on zeus while also doing output control testing. I seen in one of Paul's videos he showed you can open up a functional test/out of range testing tab, minimize the meter page then you can hop over to your control/output test page and turn on the part while also watching voltage/amp readings. I have been unable to do this on my zeus. Was hoping someone had insight on how to do this if it's even possible on the zeus. I can minimize the meter but it doesn't drop down into the tab page and when I exit and go back to scanner mode it disappears. Is this something I have to change in the settings page or something? It's tough trying to fumble a scanner and a test light or multi meter under the car on a hoist. Thanks in advance!
I never used a Zeus, but I assume it works the same way.
You need to start with Guided Component Tests, not the scope/meter tab.
If you have a vehicle ID with the scanner all ready, the guided component test will automatically load tests for that car. You can chose the one for whatever you're testing. I often just pick any old component test and reconfigure the scope settings my liking.
When launching the scope from Guided Component Tests, there is an extra tab at the top that says Meter. This is the tab the puts the scope on separate window. Then you can minimize the scope window, go to the home page, and open the scanner.
It's kind of tricky, I wish there was an easier way, but it's better than nothing.
Yea that's what I've been doing but when I minimize the meter tab it disappears and I can't reopen it. I asked the snap on rep if he knew of anything maybe its something that can be changed in settings or something?? He had no idea. Idk if I can contact someone from snap on maybe they could point me in the right direction or something.
