Hantek 1008c measuring question. was created by Nqkaf
I've connected it to a 9V battery.
The channel is set to 1V per division.(on picture)
As i know 1 square is 1 division.
But it measures 1V per dot.
And since it is set to 1V per division the scope tells me its 1.77V.
Am i doing something wrong?

I don't think that you understand the problem.
There are many ways to change the volts/div on this software, i know.
It doesn't matter what volts/div i choose it measures it as 1 div is from dot to dot and not from square to square, but the software reads it as square to square and gives wrong measurment (its all shown on the picture).

Are you using an oscilloscope probe rather than a lead with crocodile clips ? If so check the x10 attenuator switch on the probe matches the software setting. If you want to measure a voltage it is best to use a horizontal cursor --- a bit awkward with the Hantek software but they do work and give reasonably accurate readings.
Keep in mind oscilloscope even expensive ones are not precision digital voltmeters , but they
are very very fast voltmeters that draw graphs and are very very good at measuring small intervals of time.

I've used scope probe(with 10x on and off) and lead with crocodile clips.
I've tried with 4 different software versions and different drivers for the scope.
The result is the same.
The waveforms are correct but not the measurment(i have to count volts on my own from dot to dot).
I guess its normal for this Hantek...

I think you will find 99.9% people use the cursor to measure voltage and time on any scope.

When I use one of the vehicle presets I see a voltage, but on the plain scope setting I can't get voltages or zoom in to the pattern.
Getting involved in discussions because I have a lot to learn still.

I recently bought the 1008C and installed the software on a windows 10 laptop and am finding it very difficult to see a reading of any sort.Andy.MacFadyen wrote: I think you will find 99.9% people use the cursor to measure voltage and time on any scope.
