Benchtesting CAN-based Modules

I Need some Inputs!

I want to test some components on bench with my diagnostic tool.
ECU, ABS and some other important modules is no Problem, i can wire the CAN-Lines directly to my diagnostic-tool and talk to these Modules.
But some Modules like Radio, HVAC, Trailer-Module, etc... uses the low-Speed CAN-Bus. In this case, i can't connect directly to my diagnostic-tool.

Is it, because i Need a CAN-Gateway between my scanner and the "to be tested" module?

- Does the CAN-Gateway adresses the Modules like Radio, etc... or do the modules have their fixed CAN-ID inside?
- Does the CAN-Gateway convert the Baudrate between the diagnostic-port and the low-Speed CAN-Modules like Radio, etc..?
- Is every CAN-Gateway individually programmed or can i pick a CAN-Gateway from any vehicle and use it to Diagnose my target-Modules like Radio, etc...?

Can anybody help me in this case?
