I'm in need of a new borescope. My current scope has an internal battery that is about done & I would like to have the side view. I'm looking at one from snap on for $550 but would like to see what you all are using and if you like what you have. Any input would be very appreciated

I got a cheesy one from the Wish app for like $10 that plugs into my phone.
It's not great, but it didn't cost a week's pay either ;)

10$ you must have got the Turbo version mine was £5 --- none of my Android devices support it though so it has to be used with an old notepad. Only issue has been the side facing mirror has degraded. For anybody in the UK he ALDI discount chain have some in this week on a special buy.

Sorry its a zombie thread but I bought a Depstech 12 ft bluetooth borescope off Amazon for $30. Its worked well so far both at home and at the shop and wouldn't be too mad if something happened to it. While it would be ideal to have one with an integrated screen, most are small and expensive when compared to a readily available cell phone screen combined with a cheap wired/wireless borescope

For Android iders it is handy to remember that pressing volume down and power buttons at the same time will do a screen capture on most later versions of Android

Glad to see this thread back!
The end of my Turbo $10 Wish scope ended up inside the combustion chamber of a Ford 5.4.
I won't be putting a cheap camera inside an engine in the near future...

What a bummer hope it wasn't too difficult to retrieve, was it the entire tip and was it a rigid cable that maybe got stuck in the cylinder?
