Solus Pro wont comm with Dodge was created by Shawn B
Hello everyone, I could use some help. I worked at a Dodge dealer for 18yr dont any longer. I purchased the shops trade in Solus pro. I will admit I didn't love the Solus and never once tried it on a Dodge because I had access to factory tooling. Now I find I cannot connect to any Chrysler I have tried 98-02my does other makes though.
I have bought a replacement key with no effect.
Could it possibly not have Chrysler software???
Thanks for any help guys

Of the times I have experienced communication issues with Snap-On scan tools it has generally been a problem with the cable.
I suppose it could be a software issue, but if the Chrysler vehicles are listed in the data base, i would guess that the software is there.
Maybe you could borrow a cable from someone to give it a try...

So I did a continuity test on cable and all 15 wires show ok with no in between shorts.
I checked the block on the end where personality keys go. For lack of a better way to explain this there are 12 slots for the key to make contact and a cable and an obd2 side. All twelve slots had a corresponding continuity spot in the cable. slot "12" closest to cut out for the key on obd side had no continuity to anything.
Anyone got one they can check?
or a schematic? Thanks Shawn

Well I have the small grey box that makes you put the keys right at the dlc. If that is interchangeable with you cable then thats my problem as I show the pin you have indicated as "dead/ no continuity " also. Thank you.

I haven't used this adapter in years. If you message me your address, I will donate it to you.
