secondary spark concerns

I have concerns about the circled areas on the graph. The 1st one on the left I have never seen it drop down that low on any other waveform I have seen. Is the circled one on the right due to a in cylinder problem?

This was taken from a geo metro with a 1.0L engine. Distributor type setup.

Do you have a misfire on this cylinder! Looks to me (I may be wrong) from my experience I’d say you may have a spark leaking to ground before spark plug

It is not xlsetting a misfire code, but it does seem to have some misfire to it.

I will get a new distributor cap and tune it up.

A lot of energy left after the spark look at the spark plug gap and issue in the plug lead and HT side of the coil

What is the normal KV output of a distributor type coil? I have to go to my biggest KV scale to get it to fit on the screen.

That was on the # 1 cylinder, last night I did replace the spark plug with a new one. The old one had a .042 gap. Factory spec is .039" to .043". I checked the plug wire to make sure it seated good on the plug and cap. The cap end seemed a little loose. I inserted the wire more and rechecked the spark waveform. i will try and post it.

This is the wave forms that I got after putting in the new plug and checking the plug wire. I will try and check this again with my laptop scope later today.
