The software doesn't expire? Suretrack is a common parts identifier for the particular dtc your dealing with and it has to be renewed if you choose to use it (I let mine expire never found it very helpful) otherwise the actual diagnostic software doesn't stop working

I believe someone is mistaken. More that a few of us have woefully outdated scanners and such that work just fine. You just won't have info on newer vehicles, like where the crank sensor is and hints on how to test it. Stuff like that. You can still look that info up somewhere else and use the Modis to check it just the same though.

Local Snap On rep verified it. The image Apache posted earlier is a message you can get when the scanner has shut off a VERY long time or someone attempted to do an update that didn't belong to that machine. It goes away and then you go back to using as before.
