Snap on tools

I am new at these computers and a bit confused which ones came out first and what the differences are.
I decided to buy a snap on modis ultra with 17.4 software I am thinking the only difference between this and the varous is the varous has 4 channels on the scope and the modis ultra only has2 ?? Is that correct?
Dose anyone know the order these units came out? I assume software it the year and month? 17.4 2017 April?

Software 17.4 is last years revision, also the most current.

Not your exact Modis, but it is as close as Snap On will allow

As far as the scantool software goes it is the same as the verus. The verus is just windows based and has a bigger screen so you can view more data at the same time.
