Atlas lifts? was created by Ben
Anyone have any experience with the atlas 2 post lifts? I'm thinking of adding another lift and they have a 10k 2 post on sale right now for the holiday!

I own the 2-post MaxJax for my home garage. So this review is primarily for the hobby guys like me. First off, I absolutely love the MaxJax by Danner! Awesome compared to 30+ years of jacking and adjusting when I wanted to get all 4 wheels off the ground. The MaxJax works for me especially because my garage only has 8' ceilings. But with the system I am able to get my SUVs up enough that it is heaven now!. No more rolling a jack back and forth and continually bumping jack stands with my creeper. Enough clearance so I can roll my transmission out from under the truck with it on the trans jack. Previously I would have to get under the truck and contort myself to get the trans off the jack on to a low creeper just so I could roll it out of the way. Even then, the trans would not clear the frame enough to roll out from under the truck. Now it does! Like I said, absolute heaven for me. What is also nice is when I'm done, I can easily unbolt each post and roll them, and the control unit, off to the side against the wall until I need the lift again.
Some general specs on the unit: it costs under $2,000, it's rated at 6K, the max the arms go up to is something like 45". I can't even go that high because of the garage ceiling height, so plenty of height for me. It comes with the round lift pads, but separately you have to buy the square frame pads for autos with frames. Once you lift there is a safety bars that goes thru the post and then you lower the arm assembly on to the safety bars. They only have two positions for the safety bars...which I think they should have bored holes for more heights. So the safety bars can be inserted at about half height and full height. Thankfully the half height position puts the top of my truck about 3" below my garage door opener. When I want the auto to be lower than the half height and I can't insert the safety bar, I do add jack stands to act as the safety back up.
Your garage floor has to have a minimum of 4" thickness to install the post bolt sleeves. When you install, you'll definitely need a good quality rotary hammer to bore the holes in the concrete. No way you're going to do it with a hammer drill.
So overall, for the home garage guys like me with low ceilings, my review is I highly recommend the MaxJax.
