A place to discuss hardware/software and diagnostic procedures

Just a speculative injector test idea.

The majority of cars I work have returnless injection without a Schrader valve. I posted in the old forum of a diagnois of an electrically dead injector using the pressure pules from the pulse damper on the fuel rail using a Firstlook style pressure pulse sensor.
Paul's recent 5.7 Chevy van bad injectors video and recent posts asking questions on pulse testing injectors made me wonder if it would be useful diagnostic method to capture the pressure pulses on a pulse damper (or pressure regulator) with the injector being pulsed by the tester.

I especially enjoyed that video.
When you say, when the injector is pulsed by the tester, you meen the scanner? Cause that was engine off, or you meen an otc injector tester or similar?

I still haven't had a chance to try this on a blocked injector but here is a capture key off from a Rover KV6
