How can we determine which petrol car is using piezo injectors ,is there a way to know by looking under the hood and seeing the injectors (if possible) and telling them apart from solenoid ones? Reason i ask is when using the timer tool to test injectors we need to know which ones they are .Are only GDI engines using them ? i have had a look around the web but cannot seem to find out. Also i have autodata and haynes pro but neither of these give much info regarding the injectors.Any info appreciated .

The only 100% certain way I know so far is to scope them put a current clamp on them and they are very distinctive --- we will learn as we encounter more.
