Hello! I'm working with a Snap On Vantage Pro. Has any one experienced the yellow or green trace(as well as the min max numbers) turning white on scope? Its random. I did put the yellow test lead near the coil wire to give you an idea of what i see. I'm very new to using scope so i apologize if this is a rookie question.

I have never used a Vantage Pro, but I have a Vantage Ultra. I, also, have 2 Verus's, and I have had a MODIS, in the past. I have not seen this.

Does it only happen when the voltage exceeds the selected scale?

Just an uneducated guess, but it may be intentional to let you know you need to adjust your scales.

I heard that this happens when the signal goes over the selected scale to alert you that the wave is clipping. Try raising the vertical scale.

Actually I see from your second image that the waveform might be dipping below. try raising the ZERO line up or increase the scale and see if that works.

Confirm what it's not, and fix what it is!
