Can the lab scopes use a 0 - 300 psi 4 -20mA transducer for compression testing.

Can you link us to the pressure transducer you had in mind? The current output is good, but I'm mostly wondering about it's voltage output. Most I've seen work on a 5V scale.

I work with 12 and 24 volt systems that power the transduce...Mostly diesel application. "Link", something, I do not know. @ 61, I did not embrace the computer age very willingly.....:)

Scopes don't measure amps, they measure voltage. Snapon scope present for pressure transducers is 0.5v for 0 psi and 4.5v for 300 psi or 500 psi depending on which one you use. Or you can just setup your voltage scale for whatever your sensor and pressure range is.

What scope do you have?

Ok, so no presents. Then you need to know what the input voltage is for that pressure sensor and what the operating range is. Most that I've seen is 5v input and 0-5v output or .5-4.5 output

300 psi won't be up to doing Diesel engine compression testing, you need a 500psi (35 Bar) sensor.

The normal low cost 3 wire industrial sensor you find on eBay use a 5v supply and atmospheric pressure = 0.5v the maximum rated pressure = 4.5v
