I want to buy a cheap scope so I can learn some basic diagnostic techniques (and fix my car.) I came across the JH JDS2022A which seems good: 2 channels, 20 mhz bandwidth; 200 MS/sec sample rate. The only thing I'm not sure about is the memory, which is 4k total, or 2k per channel. Is this going to be enough to use for diagnosing? Right now I need it to identify a faulty camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, but I'd like to do other work, as well. Here are the specs:

Its really a step into the unknown if it is any good you have one a watch, I would look and see if it is available via Amazon as they have a rock solid returns policy.
Personally I would suggest a UScope or the basic DSO201 Nano or DSO203 Nano.
