SO Vantage Ultra Pressure Transducer was created by Rottiguy76
I have a Snap On Vantage Ultra and would like to add a pressure transducer to it. Snap On tells me they do not offer one for the Vantage Ultra. Has anyone had any success in adding one to their Vantage Ultra? I see one on the SO website that says it will work with Vantage but its a lot of money and do not want to order it if it wont work. Thanks for your help!

We don't get the ultra here but surely the maths would be pretty simple, similar to an amp clamp. Instead of 1 mv/1 amp it would be 1mv/ 1psi or similar. At the end of the day a scope is just a volt meter that can draw pictures instead of just numbers. You got a link to the pressure transducer you're looking at?

To use the snap-on pressure transducer you will need to use this adapter www1.snapon.com/diagnostics/us/Diagnosti.../PressureAdapter.htm
the Vantage Ultra has the same scope as the Modus Ultra and Modus Edge, so any accessory for the Modus will work for the Vantage Ultra. Or you could make your own pressure transducer.

I haven't used the Snap-on but the maths with pressure transducers generally tends not to be quite as simple as current clamps. 0.5v is generally atmospheric pressure and 4.5v is the maximum pressure reading of the sensor.

Well there you go. I stand corrected.

I've been using the Fluke PV-350 with my Modis Ultra for a few years, no issues. It's just like matt.white described, 1mV = 1 PSI or 1 kpa depending on the scale. Use a normal voltage trace and you're good to go. :cheer:
