Hey Martin! I don't think the attachment worked - Maybe try again? Or e-mail it to me and I'll work with it. wrenchturnsyou@gmail.com
Definitely sounds useful. May end up adding it to the service info thread in the Repair section?

thanks mate appreciate it
i now see what happened
Yesterday when i uploaded it, it worked fine , the file was there,
but, it now appears as follows
The Criteria for upload is
PDF (check)
it has to be no more than 5MB........... The file is 16MB
hence it won't upload
I'll provide a link to a cloud in the original post
that way you just copy the link into a browser and select STANDARD DOWNLOAD
here's the link for you
---
(it's safe, don't worry)

Feel free to keep the file and do what you like with it.
from time to time i find useful stuff like this
the other day i found something very rare (not automotive related) but Telecommunications related.
it was a document that stipulated PRECISELY how DiSeCQ Protocols work, the level of detail was crazy.
so.. i kept it
when i find stuff like this, i usually add it to my Knowledge Based Database.
i figured others may find it useful as well.
so.. yeah, do what you will with it

Sorry Martin, but I had to edit out those links. The link was safe, and the material was definitely useful, but it's not something we can have openly posted.

Not a Problem mate.
I know the link was safe, that's 100% Definite, i use this cloud for students and clients.
if you have a rule against it, that's different
Hey mate,
so we don't keep going back and forth like this.
do you have a section of the site that states your rules, because ...
i put that link up for people to share,
Now.. if that content was not appropriate, then it suggests that i've got the wrong impression of your site.
and if do maybe i'm stepping on a few toes without realizing it.
and i don't want to get kicked off
so.. do you have a place where i can view the rules
also. My impression of the site was..
this is a place where we can talk, where guys can chat and talk automotive without being censored, and can share stuff freely
I'm getting the feeling i was mistaken about that, i mean.. when i watch Paul on the you tube channel, he seems like an easy going guy
so i guess that sort of guided my assumption of the site
but, put bluntly.. i don't want to piss people off.. ok
so. do you have some rules i can read through,
because the other moderator thinks that i'm hacking hehe
so.. yeah, this needs to be addressed
thanks mate
speak soon

It is really a case of respecting copyright and intellectual property laws. Every country in the world has copyright laws and they apply every bit as much on the internet as everywhere else and it applies every bit as much to reposting links found elswhere as actually scanning in a book and posting it on the net yourself.
Basically pasting short excerts of text are considered OK but you must make it 100% clear where the text originally came from and credit the author and generally include an ISBN number and/or a weblink. With technical data a bit of circumspect is required it cost Haynes, Autodata, Snap-on, Autel or any company money to obtain manufacturer specific fault codes so posting them "en masse" really cannot be permitted but I can post to say that code B1327 on a Land-Rover or MG-Rover is a pasenger door ajar switch failure and list a few others on related circuits.

Thanks for working with us, MartinKuliza. No one's getting kicked off.
Fair question! We don't have one, but we've considered making one for different reasons. To be honest, we didn't have a rule against this kind of thing posted, because the issue hadn't come up yet. We didn't know it was something we wanted to have a rule against.
I know you've gotten a lot of moderator attention since you joined, but we're not trying to put you off of being a contributing member.

Attention Andy McFayden
hi andy
i do get what you're saying
however , when you went into detail like,
Credit the Author, Supply ISBN etc etc
i mean.. Ok, from one point of view you have a point.. Fair enough
from another point of view, i have not done this sort of stuff since University, Plagiarism , bibliogrpahy, Referencing etc..
after all , we are not writing a thesis here, we are sharing information and learning from others
now. if you want a link or URL, that's fine, that takes a few seconds
but, who's really gonna give 2 stuffs to look up the ISBN
and further to that, you said that i can post codes and bits individually.
well. yeah ok, but then , i would be required to be the so called official encyclopeadia for the forum for codes... and , honestly, i don't have the time for that
it's just simpler to either Post what i found
or
to not post it at all
but, not posting it defeats the purpose of sharing knowledge, doesn't it
so... yeah, this is where we are hehe
ok, i guess i won't post this stuff in the future, because it's just less of a headache to not post it
but, i get what you were trying to say
and please understand, i'm new to this forum,
Most forum's i go to a pretty relaxed, you guys are clearly a lot more strict.
i honestly would not have picked that from a forum with Mechanics on it... buy hey... it is what it is
ok man, no problem... food for thought and i'll keep it in mind in the future.. ok
be cool

attention :Tyler
LOL that's funny
yes i have had massive amounts of moderator attention and may i quote Tony Stark, Iron Man (Part 3 i think)
"this is crazy, what did i do, i feel your taking me somewhere to SNUFF ME" hehe
but, on a serious note..
if i'm not getting kicked off or there is no bad blood, that's awesome
but.. you have to understand where my suspicion came from right ?
i mean the last thing i want is to make paul regret inviting me.... right ?
ok, well.. i guess if you don't have a set of rules, then i'll just have to figure it out as i go along and if you guys have a problem
with what i'm doing.. LET ME KNOW
Seriously... DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SAY ANYTHING TO ME.. ok
I'm not overly sensitive, I prefer honesty over not telling me something to save my feelings.. ok
SPEAK UP if you need to
and i'll fix the problem if i can
lastly, what i did , i did not see as a big deal
Engineers and I.T. Techs and Telecomm's Techs do this all the time. we share information.
if someone goes on about hacking this and hacking that. you usually get laughed at
it would like a mechanic doing an oil change for the first time and asking the boss , what if i get dirty hehe
same thing
so you can understand my confusion as to why i was greeted in this way upon arrival to this site after a few comment LOL
anyway, all good
i'm starting to understand how you guys operate
and i'll do my best to fit in.. ok
be cool mate
