Anyone have experience with the pico ignition prope? I bought one a few months ago and have never been able to pick up a signal.
Ive tried multiple vehicles both COP and wires.
I have it connected to a verus set to ignition probe at 15kv.

Just to be clear, you're talking about the Pico TA204 ?

I've had very good luck with it on wires and certain two wire coils, pretty good upgrade over the Paddle Probe . There are several designs of three and four wire coils that NO secondary probe will work on without some kind of extension . :-( Don't be afraid to turn your voltage scale down to pick up the signal as needed. ;-)

yes, thats the one. I got it to work once on an old distributor ignition but nothing else has worked. tried it on a gm 5.3 the other day directly on the plug wire couldnt get anything regardless of time or voltage settings.
my wire clamp will give me a good picture though..

Wow, that's surprising! I've had really good luck with the GM truck coils. Here's a capture I got off one a few months ago:

Perhaps the probe you got is defective? Might be worth asking for an exchange, see if the second one performs better.

i had a Hantek (!) plug lead capacitive probe that suddenly stopped working the protective circuit inside it got zapped by leaky secondary wire. Unless it is a triggering issue that might be your problem.
