Vauxhall Astra 1.6 2005 EGR fault was created by Jrainbow
This Astra had an open circuit on the ground wire just after the splice, on pin C to the potentiometer. While still connected and cranking pin B had 3 volts and the ground side had 2 volts. The fault code was “high voltage on EGR position” and Excessive flow.
what was happening is it would start and then cut out.
To my belief it seems as though with the open ground circuit the voltage was coming from pin D and going back through the potentiometer signal wire to get the high voltage fault.
